You may not have thought about it, but when something big is going on at Cisco, we pay a lot of attention to what you - yes you - are saying about it. With our announcements this week at Enterprise 2.0, you have been generous with your attention and interest. Thank you!
We get daily reports that summarize the conversation and we thought you might see a little glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes when we start talking about things like Cisco WebEx Social.
It's great to have Nike tell the story.
Of course we love great press coverage and it's great to have someone amazing like Richard Foo from Nike telling his story (from InformationWeek).
Nike's Foo took the stage in a track suit and made a Nike slogan--"it's not about being fast, it's about being faster"--part of his pitch. "Some of the traditional collaboration tools, like file shares and email, are not fast enough for us to be competitive," he said. ... Like, follow, post, tweet; it's all good.
Then we monitor social media to check out the conversation on Twitter and Facebook (and more) and look for trends that help us understand a few things: how well are folks understanding our message, is the sentiment positive and is there interest in what's happening. We also pull out great tweets and share those with the folks presenting so they know how things are going. Here's a sampling:
- CMSWire.com @cmswire: Great keynote session on how Nike is performing advanced enterprise social collaboration with Cisco WebEx Social #e2conf
- David Hobbie @KMHobbie: Impressed by Cisco Collaboration platform--seems to smoothly integrate many aspects of collaboration #e2conf #demofun
- Dion Hinchcliffe @dhinchcliffe: So, Cisco Quad has been renamed @WebEx Social. Probably a good move. #e2conf #socbiz
- Computerworld's @sgaudin Nike's Richard Foo: It’s not about connecting with people we already know. It’s about finding new people to work with. #e2conf
