WebEx and
Selling Power have teamed up to create a bit of web-based entertainment
and at the same time show just how easy it is to use Web-Touch selling to
accelerate the sales process.
Our new
“Reality TV” show – The WebEx Sales Makeover – started on the web last week.
It’s more “Extreme Makeover:Home Edition” than “Survivor” and it’s a lot of fun
to watch. We found two sales executives who were facing some interesting
challenges in accelerating their sales process and leveraging their reps, we
worked with them to show them how easy it really is to bring WebEx into the
sales process, and then turned them loose on their prospects.
We didn’t
get Simon Cowell, but Gerhard Gschwandtner, publisher of Selling Power magazine,
outdoes Ryan Seacrest as host, and our very own Shadi Baqleh guides our winners
through the makeover. And in episode three, don’t miss our own sales expert,
Stu Schmidt, discussing the results and how they can apply to other sales
organizations.
Last week
we saw Pankaj Malviya, CEO of CRM software as a service provider LongJump.
Pankaj and Gerhard discuss LongJump’s current selling methodology which
involves a one to three month sales cycle. Then, WebEx’ resident sales process
expert Shadi Baqleh works with Pankaj on using SalesCenter to accelerate that
sales process, tackling some low hanging fruit, like product demos for
prospects on-line rather than the slower process of in-person meetings
The series
wraps up with Pankaj taking the reins and demoing LongJump for a prospect. By
giving a demo using SalesCenter, Pankaj had the opportunity to answer the
prospect’s questions by showing LongJump in action.
This week,
we’ll have the story of Bill Ross of Position2, a search engine marketing business. We’ll get
to watch Bill as he learns how to sell “the invisible” (services) and
accelerate his sales process with WebEx.
We hope you enjoy watching the series as much as we enjoyed helping these two sales leaders create new opportunities for growth!
Jeff Weinberger, Senior Product Marketing Manager and Green Council Chair, WebEx
